Factory-refurbished product: This product is a "white box" product from Garmin, which means it has been refurbished in Garmins factory in Taiwan. It is fully functional and "as-new", with full accessories and warranty.
Why is a product sold as refurbished? The most common reasons why Garmin sell some of their products as "white box" is that products may have been returned to Garmin because the customer changed his/her mind, perhaps the product did not perform as expected, perhaps there was a minor fault with the product, etc. All products returned to Garmin for these reasons are then re-tested and/or repaired (both functionally and cosmetically) and repacked for sale as "white box" goods.
