Care - SDHC card failure.
Instead of opting for a single 8 GB Transcend SDHC card, I opted for two 4 GB mini SDHC. I carefully rotate SD cards that are being used for photography, that way failure of a card doesn't result in loss of all photos. I bought the two cards to use in a SDHC compatible Nikon D80 camera. One of the Transcend mini SDHCs failed after approximately 15 minutes of testing and was left at home. Although wary of the product, I took the second SDHC card on holiday. I am always careful when handling SD cards and always switch the product off when inserting or removing a card. It worked for a period but failed after taking approx 250 (out of 512) 10 megapixel images. The write speed is not great for sports/activity shots, however acceptable for general photography. No SDHC card recovery software is supplied. I am sending the card to a specialist (Photogenerate.co.uk) in an attempt to recover photos at a cost of £24.99. I will return the SDHC cards with a view to replacement with more reliable SD cards.
