The release of Socket AM2 marks the coming new era of DDR2 SDRAM on AMD platform, the Windsor architecture supporting up to DDR2 800. The product can even achieve a bandwidth of 16GB/sec with the support of dual channel architecture. It also perfectly fulfils overclock users’ aspiration for performance by being coupled with HT (Hypretransport) or FSB of a speed faster than 1G/sec.
In order to maintain quality and stability, DDR2 1000 only uses original chips with 64x8 BGA packaging.
