The miniPCIe SSD adopts advanced flash controller and NAND flash, contains the cache size of up to 64MB. It supports the capacity from 32G to 128G, the highest read rate reaches 258MB/s.

Fast enough for Vista on eee PC 901
Installed it in a bout a minute and then couldn't find my XP license so as a trail I installed an unused Vista license I just happened to have. Worked so good that I'll keep it. Before I swapped the ssd and was running XP the 901 was so slow it was in fact unusable. It has been collecting dust in a closet for a year but now its always on the sofa table ready to go. Finally it works like I imagine it would when i bought it a year ago!!! This user purchased this item from us.

A good upgrade
The 70mm Mini PCI-e 32 GB RunCore Pro IV SSD is a good upgrade. It makes your system much more responsive due to its Indilinx controller which beats the JMicron controllers in cheap SSDs and any HDD you could fit in an Eee.
Note: the advertised speeds are based on the larger 64 GB and 128 GB models! Expect random 4 kB writes on the order of 5-6 MB/s, sequential writes at 55 MB/s and sequential reads at 125 MB/s.
The Pro IV drives do not have the USB connector from the previous RunCore models. Instead they have a useless LED. It's a pity the product description did not make it clear it doesn't come with an enclosure either.
My SSD did not fit into my Eee out of the box. The PCB edge was untrimmed from the factory and the back edge had protruding pieces that got caught on the Eee's housing. I had to sand them down to the level of the rest of the circuit board first!
For fresh installs everything is otherwise ready; you'll even get the only tool required for swapping the SSD in an Asus Eee laptop. This user purchased this item from us.
