Great way to speed up an old laptop

I installed this into a Dell Latitude D430 in about 5-10 min. The difference has been night and day. These is little to no delay in opening apps and multiple tabs in browsers. This has honestly been the biggest noticeable boost in performance I have seen from replacing a single piece of hardware.

SSD FOR ARCHOS 9 pctablet
January 15th 2013 Verified user
I have just installed the SSD in my tablet pc. The connectors are small, but despte my uneasiness, the pc powered up first time. Windows did not like something about the files I had copied to the new SSD (I used Macrium Reflect). It spent 10 minutes checking all the files on the SSD.Then it started up. It has now worked faultlesly fo two weeks.
I forget to prepare benchmarks for the old drive so I cannot give improvement times. The scrolling on PDF and HTML fies is now smooth.

Good choice

Good price point, good quality SSD, Windows 7 benchmark give a 5.4 points in disk performance (real life read/write speed is normally around 60 MB/s (read) 65 MB/s (write) depends on integrated chipset, align and filesystem

Almost the only real and good alternative to standard ZIF drives

you can fit 2 of these in the same space of a standard Toshiba ZIF drive

Disc replacement for Archos AV500
September 25th 2010 Verified user
Hello,
After a few tweaks I just replaced my 30-gigabyte hdd on my DVR Archos AV500
by this very good product: KingSpec 64GB 1.8 "ZIF.

The battery of AV500 gives me an extra two hours of autonomy.

It's been awhile since I tried a similar product in France with a fair price.

The delivery time is perfect.

I recommend this store selling online.

I replaced the old-going HD in my Dell D430 with this product and faced no problems at all. Of course you have to know what you are doing with the ZIF interface but anyhow this product was solid, perfect for my need, reasonable priced and delivered as I expected (or even better considering the information and customer care).

Dell compatability
September 28th 2009 Verified user
Successfully used these in 3 x D420 / D430 Latitudes to replace the painfully slow 1.8" drives that came as standard, bechmarking shows read speed improving from 8Mb/s to 55Mb/s. No compatability issues, plug and play!

Works great with a Latitude D430
September 13th 2009 Verified user
I bought this SSD to upgrade to Windows 7; my existing 40GB Toshiba unit simply wasn't going to work as Windows 7 takes up 16GB on its own!

I was also looking at the Runcore model and prior to getting this drive tried one from SSD Factory on Ebay. That drive didn't work with my Dell D430 and people's experiences with Runcore seem spotty so I went for this.

Whilst I couldn't get a drive image to work and had to do a clean install, once done the drive has been great. Both boot and app speed are much quicker, and HD Tune Pro says data transfer is approx 3 times the previous drive's max. Seek time is 2 m/s. This translates into a much smoother computing experience; I'm looking forward to running Windows 7.

MemoryC was about £20-30 cheaper than the best eBay price and were very helpful, so thumbs up to them too. I've also put an enclosure (£10 on eBay) on the old drive to create a useful USB HD. If they read this maybe MemoryC might want to start bundling the drive with an enclosure... :)

Speed up your Dell D420
August 13th 2009 Verified user
I installed the King Spec 64GB Solid State Drive in my Dell D420 laptop. What a great move. No problems using Windows Vista full backup. Started up in much less time and I no longer have to look at the hard drive light blinking all the time. This is a must have item to speed up your computer and buying from MemoryC was quick and easy.
