I had long been in the market for a 1TB drive and sold my WD Caviar SE16 750GB to get one of these. The sequential read and write speeds are very good, one of the best performances in its class in fact. Furthermore, the Spinpoint 1TB seems to run a lot cooler than my previous 750GB as reported in HDTune (27 degrees C vs 17 degrees C).

Regards packaging, this drive comes in a nice blister pack with 4 mounting screws and also the manual/warranty.

I would love to get another soon! Highly recommended!!
