RunCore Pro IV 1.8" ZIF SSD is designed for laptop, handheld PC. The product adopts advanced flash controller and NAND flash, contains the cache size of up to 64MB with a higher performance in read/write rate than mechanism hard drive. Furthermore, its characteristics of low power consumption and anti-vibration are obvious.

1.8" ZIF SSD as standard PATA driver, which supports all major operating systems such as Windows 9X/Me/NT/XP/CE/Vista/Windows7, MAC, Linux and Unix, Solaris, Vxworks. With no moving parts and seek time, 1.8" ZIF SSD does not need to spin up into action or to seek files in the way that traditional hard disk drives do - enabling it to work much faster. It supports capacity from 32GB to 128GB with maximum transfer rate as high as 85MB/s. Therefore, it is an ideal storage device for commercial users' mobile PC.

Great product and easy to use (just follow the quick manual to open the case with the included screwdriver). Fit perfectly in a 1st Gen Macbook Air. It also works perfectly with Bootcamp too (Win 7 + Mac OS Snowleopard).

Tip: The package includes an external HDD case that you can use to mirror your current disk to the SSD drive... and then you can use it with your previous internal HDD to act as an external drive.

My MBA-rev A is Alive ! And more faster !
I received the hard drive in only 5 days (Paris), and after a simple installation (15min), my MBA lives again, faster than at the origin! Memory C you save my life and my Mba for new adventure !

Like some persons here, my original disk failed, so I decided to replace it with a SSD drive... A litle bit smaller size (64Gb instead of 80Gb) than the original but I'll accomodate!
Was easy to install if you're not working with mittens! ;-) And easy to find some picture tutorials on the web if you're scared to open it!
Working without problems with the MBA A1237, give him a new youth!!
An USB enclosure is included with the SSD if you want to transfert old data from a drive to the other but useless is your old is broken!

The hard drive on my MacBook Air rev A failed, and I decided to replace it with a solid state drive to bring it into line with the current Airs. I had seen good reviews of the Runcore SSD so I was expecting some performance improvements over the old hard drive, but I am totally blown away by the new lease of life this has given my machine. Apps launch within one or two bounces in the dock - even iCal which used to take ages. Yes, the drive capacity is smaller (64 vs 80GB) but that's not a problem for me. The perceived speed (and battery life) increase is well worth that sacrifice. I found installation straightforward, but then I am an electronics engineer and I followed the iFixit guide. My conclusion - it's brilliant. I won't be trading up to a new machine for another couple of years!
