SSD and ExpressCard solid state disks is the future in storage, as it uses less power and because they have no moving parts they are also more reliable.
Transcend Information, Inc. is pleased to announce its brand-new ExpressCard/34 SSD series. The ExpressCard/34 SSD (Solid State Disk) has a huge apacity (up to 32GB) and low power consumption, which makes it perfect for use as a mobile storage solution in notebook computers with ExpressCard™ slot. This type of slot is a new standard developed by PCMCIA to carry forward the benefits of 'plug-in' I/O cards to the next generation of personal computing devices.
Transcend’s ExpressCard/34 SSD is a smaller and faster plug-in module solution that supports USB 2.0 Applications, and perfectly matches mobile and desktop systems. The ExpressCard/34 SSD is compatible with Windows Vista and supports ReadyBoost function. Moreover, Transcend’s ExpressCard/34 SSD comes bundled with a portable USB adapter, which makes it work as a regular USB flash drive.

WOW!!
I have been using my expresscard for a couple of weeks now and it works perfect. I use it with my MacBook Pro in conjunction with Serato Scratch Live to DJ, and am thoroughly satisfied with the speed and performance. A local store sells the identical card but its made by SanDisk and costs 400 euro!! Maybe it comes with a TV?!?! All I know is the Transcend card has delivered what wanted. A tip though to those with a MacBook Pro, when inserting the card ease it in and listen for the click, don't just shove it it. You might push it in a little too far as I did the first time. It took a little work to get out but now its perfect.
