Simply plug this player into the HDMI connection on your TV, and insert your SD card, USB drive or portable hard drive. I purchaed this item to play video files from my library. It worked perfect for me, so far it has played all the different formats that I have used (avi, mkv, divx, mpg). the remote takes a bit of getting used to as its lay out is not user friendly but once you get used to that it grand. Basic but it does the job....

Bought this product as i trusted the store wouldn't stock it unless it had a good reputation - Remote control useless and pointless , as you have to be within three feet of the player for it to work .. So far i have no issues with it playing movies - but i do have serious volume issues . I have to turn the volume on the TV up to 95 (that's 95 out of a range of 100) , in order for me to even barely hear it . My advice to MEMORYC is to stop selling this product , as it obviously is not up to standard !!!

REMOTE CONTROL IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING PIECE OF EQUIPMENT I'VE USED IN YEARS. LIKE SOMETHING FROM THE 80'S. THOUGHT I'D BEEN SUPPLIED A FAULTY ONE, SO EXCHANGED THE MERCHANDICE ENTIRELY. REPLACEMENT REMOTE CONTROL JUST AS BAD. NO RANGE, REPEATEDLY PRESSING THE BUTTONS WITHOUT JOY...AGAIN. DO NOT BUY!

This is an extremely cheap & flimsy piece of equipment. I purchases it to play video files as it says on the box that it plays AVI's, MP4's, etc. etc., but it depends what kind of mood it is in! It will play an AVI today, but won't play the same file tomorrow. It doesn't like MKV's, or MP4's playing them only occasionally. The same files will play on other devices so it is an issue with this device, not the file type. The range on the remote control device is very poor, you basically have to be sat in front of the device for it to operate properly. The remote handset itself is also very cheaply built and gives no confidence to the touch. This is an extremely unreliable device and I would recommend you to stay away from it.
