I bought it for Readyboost |
Does the job very well. i have a laptop
One thing though, vista recommends exactly 1.8GB of the 2GB of USB space for the product to work at its best so i dont see the point in buying the 4GB version. i'd recommend buying an SD Card instead of a USB for Readyboost simply because its very easy to break the usb key when moving your laptop around the place.
I found it made up to a 40%!!! difference on one or two games i found. the average was 15 - 30%. it starts to work nearly the second windows vista starts up compared to other Readyboost USB Keys that take 3 or 4 minutes to respond.
The more RAM and faster RAM you have the less of an effect it will have on your pc. I think it really helps laptops mainly though. The only major bad thing i have to say about it is that i found the battery on my laptop does not seem to last as long with it plugged in. the battery seemed to go from a 2 hr 20 min battery life to 2 hours, so maybe its best to unplug it if you dont need it. Overall i rate this product 9.5/10

WATCH OUT THE VAT IS A HIGH 21% !!!!!!!! |
I am writing this so that someone does not make the same mistake as I did.
Look at the VAT - I think it comes form Ireland so that VAT is not 17.5% but 21%.
I did not look close enough...silly me!
I will let you know about the product but most reviews seem to say it is great...

Xporter XT - Readyboost! |
I purchased this item specifically for Vista Readyboost, not only did it pass the Readyboost test i have found the drive to be very fast!
Average read speed is 30.6MB/s while burst speed is 31MB/s using HD Tach...the rubber shell is excellent.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Feels good and looks the part as well. It's being used to run PortableApps. Again, highly recommended.

Excellent product |
very fast, very sturdy. I am using for ReadyBoost (a new feature in Windows Vista) and it works smoothly. Highly recommended. Pity that 2 weeks after buying it, the price was reduce even further (well I must get used to that)
