The SuperTalent SATA3 Mini 2 PCIe DX1 SSD is an upgrade module specifically designed to be a drop in replacement for the ASUS Eee PC S101,900, 900A, and 901 netbook PCs. The modules are simple and easy to install for immediate capacity and performance benefits.

These modules are the fastest SATA Mini PCIe SSDs available in the market today. Delivering over 5x the performance of the original Eee PC SSDs. These products also make excellent high performance small form factor products for embedded system designers.

The 64GB MLC based product features sequential read speeds up to 500MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 280MB/s. The MLC drives come with Super Talent’s 2 year warranty.

In order for this product to work, the following BIOS versions (or later) must be installed on the ASUS EEE netbook:

eee901: Runs much faster than original Phison, no problems when mounting it. Internal 4GB won't be recognized anymore and a message of failure is shown on startup. To fix this message, you have to add a primary partition of something about 200mB of type EFI (0xef) onto the SuperTalent. When eee is booted for the second time, the message won't be shown again. Preferring Slackware-Linux, i added "echo 10 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness" to /etc/rc.d/rc.local to reduce swapping, but swapping is not really an issue.
Shipping happened very quickly, 5 days after ordering, it arrived at my house in germany.
