This 500GB laptop hard drive from the Seagate Laptop Slim HDD range is equipped with Seagate's proprietary SmartAlign Technology which makes transitioning to Advanced Format 4K sectors a very straight forward matter. In fact, this runs in the background and it does not even affect performance of this advanced hard drive.
This 500GB drive operates with a rotation speed of 7200rpm which offers improved performance compared with 5400rpm drives, and with a built-in buffer of 32GB you can be assured that this hard drive is your best choice for any laptop computers.
With a thickness of only 7mm this HDD is suitable for standard laptops as well as slimline notebook computers. It can even be used in desktop systems if mounted with an adapter bracket (not included with this product).
SATA 6Gb/s interface as standard, but is also backwards compatible with earlier SATA 3Gb/s systems.
