If you know how to use it, this stuff will bring your temperatures down in all APPROPRIATE situations. It will eat aluminum and short electronics if the smallest drop touches anything it shouldn't. Know what you are doing, accept the risk, and this stuff is awesome! Plenty of instructional videos exist on the internets.

Delid with this lowered temps by 15C

I used this when I delidded my i7-4790K. I should have done this much sooner as the temperature drops have been pretty crazy. Previously I could not run Prime95 without going over 90C now I stay in the 70s. Really great stuff!

Cannot use on Aluminum Heat Sinks

It would have been nice to know that it was not any use for aluminum heat sinks. Useless to me. The surprise note that stated this would have been great planted right next to the product online before I gave my money for it.

Greatly improves Intel CPU temps

Before using this product please watch videos from GamersNexus, de8auer, and Actually Hardcore Overclocking and if you want to see what happens when you try to use it like normal TIM watch what happened at LTT

Basically you spread a extremely thin layer on the CPU die and another thin layer on bottom of the IHS, there is no need to use this on top of the IHS as there is plenty of surface area for your heat sync to handle it when using quality paste, do not forget to protect any exposed capacitors on the CPU, i used plastidip as i do not have nail polish as i do not want to see CPU temps over 90 the failure point of plastidip(93C) will be fine
I am only hitting 80C peak with 1.385v, I was hitting 94C at 1.3v
* My CPU cooler is a NH-D14

This stuff is great for delided CPUs as the surface area is very limited and there is a lot of heat, i tried using NH-T1 instead but the thermal cycling pushed it out and my temps got worse than stock when they were 5C hotter than this product
I have one of the worst i5-4690K chips that were made (unless it is the board)
on the stock paste i had core to core delta temps of around 15C at 1.3v max temps were over 90, with this i can increase the voltage to 3.385 (20W more heat) and my temps are 15C lower and my delta temps are 5C, maybe I did not spread it perfectly as only 1 core is 5C hotter than the others at peak

Over time this will discolor copper and to a lesser extent nickle plate copper, this will not impact performance in any meaningful way, if there are any effects they are within margin of error

I was having lots of high temperature issues with my aging i7 4790K so I decided to delid the CPU.
Several how-to videos and comments from viewers swear by this stuff so after some searching I found it here on MemoryC.

As others have said, I too saw 12-15 degrees celsius drop in temperatures and was able to overclock the cpu much higher than ever before.

This stuff (when applied properly) lowers your core temps alot. It may not lower your base temps, but will transfer heat much better under load. Mine lowered 12°c on avg.
