Transfer speeds slower than USB 3.1 type A

Excellent quick postage as usual, and great buying experience on this site. Unfortunately, the flash drive gets extremely hot (hot enough to almost burn you through the plastic) during use transferring video files. The speeds of the transfer then slow to a crawl, and often end up erroring and having to start all over. I mean really slow,

I bought this item as in my work I have to download various graphic design images and I usually run out of space on my phone in the process.
