It keeps disconnecting every few minutes due to lack of memory - from the log:

Jun 30 20:46:47 (none) user.err kernel: Out of Memory: Killed process 1140 (twonkymediaserv).
Jun 30 20:46:47 (none) user.err kernel: XFS: possible memory allocation deadlock in kmem_alloc (mode:0x2d0)

Sent technical question to LaCie, curious if they will help to solve the problem.

I bought this hard drive as a Christmas gift. Great looking , very quite (I also have in my hub one Western Digital myBook and when I read/write files from that one you can hear HDD working). This is perfect. Nice size and it have also USB port to plug other USB storing device to it.

The best thing about this acquisition for me is that i order this from memoryc with EMS. Package arrive to Romania cut and hard drive missing from package. Post gave me papers about this fraud and I send them to memoryc .They sent me another product with air mail priority and with few weeks late i got the product. Thank you memoryc and I'll be back to your store
