Regularly corrupts files and indexes - Updated, please see PS below

I purchased the product fully aware it was going to be slow, but willing to take that risk because I mainly wanted to expand my C: drive on my LG LW20 Express (WinXP SP3) by moving my music to this SSD device. Unfortunately I have to run chkdsk at least once a day to keep it working. Many of my MP3 files lost their file info such as artist / album / genre etc.. I ended up deleting and re-ripping many CDs and then copying them back to the SSD, only to have them get corrupted again. I have since tried two more solutions. Firstly, I upgraded my drivers from LG. Secondly, I tried operating the device from USB on another computer. I still get random file errors. I'm now going to try to return the device.

PS - I contacted Team Group in Taiwan and got some great support. They sent me a utility called URESCUE, which reformatted the drive to FAT32. I have had no errors since doing this over 2 months ago. The unit is still fairly slow, but at least now it is reliable. It doesn't look like I'll be returning it after all...

Unless like me you are using this express card to supliment your laptop's capacity in a generally 'read only' retrieval mode, you will find it inexorably slow and best avoided. That is the nature of the beast.

This does not mean the product is defective, just naturally very, very slow to use, compared with even a large SDHC card.

Loading overnight to get my images on is the only way to manage getting my archived images aboard- that apart, it does the job of holding a 50GB archive on my very small sony TZ31,without compromising precious disc space or having to carry an external hard drive around, which is exactly why I purchased it.

Very Pleased with the 64GB Team ExpressCard SSD

Well, I decided to take a chance and purchase this product, though I've never heard of 'Team' before, and have it shipped to the USA. It works great, no poblems at all, have used it for 2 weeks now. And it comes NTFS format, so I didn't have to waist time with that.

Product is great, shipping from MemoryC was great. Very happy with my choice.

Total failure of I/O and drive dropped in middle of read write session. After multiple attempts was able to get recognition to reformat. Lasted 12 hours before failure again.

I do not recommend this product.
