Wow, this is the 2nd OCZ SSD i've owned, the first being a lowly 30gb Core V2 SSD. This thing is lighting fast, even in my Compaq CQ61-110SA laptop. I panicked initially, as I'd updated the firmware after installing Windows on it, which led to a BSOD. Much white face as the drive wasn't subsequently found. A quick check on the OCZ forum assured me that leaving it powered off for a few minutes would do the trick. It did, and i'm delighted.
The SSD came in a smart pack, with a 2.5" -3.5" adapter for PC cases, and Screws.
I can honestly say, if you're in two minds about this drive, then just go for it. It's unashamedly quick, and quite simply the best upgrade I've made. The only problem was deciding whether to install it in my HTPC or the Laptop :D Thanks again MemoryC, for some more flawless service.
oh, and to avoid similar Flashing stress, check the Firmware version BEFORE you flash, unlike me. I have no idea if it shipped with version 1.23 or not.So my episode may have been avoidable.
