Xigmatek is a name that has previously been associated with first-class CPU coolers. In the meantime, the company is extending its sensors to other areas and is constantly expanding its product range. The production of own fans is therefore a logical consequence, after all, these are installed on CPU coolers just as with power supplies and housings.
After the colored models of the orange, black and blueline as well as the transparent fans of the Crystal series, Xigmatek supplements its own fan portfolio with an unusually shaped 3-pin fan in black. The frame has one-sided mounting holes * and lateral slots. However, the rotor design is also unusual with nine instead of the usual seven blades and a conical hub.
However, these measures not only contribute to a particular visual character, but also serve to optimize airflows. In particular the shape of the hub as well as the blades increase the air throughput at the same speed and thus the efficiency.
As a result, only 14 dB (A) is generated at a speed of 1,400 rpm and 83.8 m³ / h is conveyed. Thanks to a starting voltage of six volts, the F1257 is also slower and thus quieter with an optional controller.
