So, here’s the thing about monitor stands. Even though computers have been around for more than 30, most desks are not designed with computers in mind. So, if your keyboard and monitor are at the same level, you’ve got one of the old-school versions.
See, what you really want is your monitor lifted up a bit, right about at eye level. This’ll keep you more upright and help prevent all of those neck kinks. For those in the know, it’s all about ergonomics. But keep in mind you don’t have to sacrifice for comfort. You can get the ergonomics and still have a piece that looks good on your desk.
The Redmond Monitor Stand is designed to look like it came with your computer. A glance down the computer aisles of Best Buy or a quick perusal of Dell.com, are enough to show you that computers are going black, gray and silver. And the look of the Redmond Monitor Stand follows suit. The chrome-like base gives a high-tech look. The dark santoprene-coated shelf has a little grip to keep your flat-screen monitor secure. There are hi-tech benefits like a grate design that dissipates heat, and lo-tech favorites like the pen tray. Ergonomics, convenience and good looks.
