Warranty service for second-hand owners


Our standard warranty, replacement and support service is available to the original purchaser of a product ordered on our website. Our support service exceeds your statutory rights for most products.
We do recognise that in some instances a product may have been sold by the original purchaser to a new owner (referred to as "second-hand owner"), and for this reason we now extend part of this service to second-hand owners of products too.

Guidelines for product replacement


Please note the following guidelines that apply to all second-hand owners of products originally sold on our website:

  • We offer technical support to the original purchaser of a product only. For second-hand owners we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for assistance.
  • In order to have a faulty product replaced by MemoryC during the first 12 months of the warranty, the original purchaser must apply for an RMA number (returns number) by logging on to our website and following the RMA steps.
  • On the RMA request, the original purchaser can nominate an alternative delivery address for the product replacement. We will send any replacement products to this alternative address, which can be the address of the new product owner.
  • Refunds and/or credit on account will not be offered to second-hand owners under any circumstances.
  • Where a product is no longer available in stock, MemoryC will return it to the manufacturer for repair/replacement. Product will be shipped to customer once received from the manufacturer.
  • Replacement service for second-hand owners ends on the 12 month anniversary of the order original date (except for instanses where the product has been sold with a shorter warranty). After this point all replacement enquiries must be directed to the product manufacturer.
  • Shipping cost back to MemoryC must be paid for by customer. Shipping cost from MemoryC to customer will be covered by us. All products will be tested by our technicians and if a product is found not to be faulty we reserve the right to charge a nominal shipping fee for returning it to customer.
